Abbott & Costello discuss a PayPal email situation.
A programming engineer named Russ Young asked a technical question about a PayPal data process. Another engineer named Ping Hu answered the question. As a member of that email distribution group, I created this reinterpretation of the popularized Who’s on First routine.
Abbott The question the Young guy asked got a ping.
Costello Who pinged?
Abbott That’s right.
Costello But who did the ping?
Abbott Ping.
Costello Ping who?
Abbott Exactly!
Costello But who’s ping?
Abbott Yes, Hu’s.
Costello That’s what I’m asking about. The ping.
Abbott Yes, Ping. That’s Hu.
Costello Wait, wait. Let’s start at the beginning. It was the Young guy who asked a question.
Abbott He’s middle-aged.
Costello How can the middle-aged guy be young?
Abbott He is.
Costello But you said he’s Young.
Abbott That’s Right.
Costello The middle-aged guy?
Abbott He’s Young.
Costello And a ping answered the Young guy’s question?
Abbott Yes, Ping answered the middle-aged Young guy’s ping.
Costello The young guy’s ping?
Abbott No, the Young guy’s middle aged. Hu’s Ping. He made the ping.
Costello Which ping?
Abbott Not Which Ping. Hu, Ping.
Costello That’s what I’m asking you.
Abbott Me?
Costello You!
Abbott No, not me. Hu!
And so on.
